Realme declared that the process of charging a smartphone will take the same amount of time as making a cup of coffee or playing music, dubbed it a "4-minute miracle."

Realme unveiled its most recent advancement in proprietary fast-charging technology on Wednesday during its 828 Fan Fest, an annual event in China. It is stated that the 320W SuperSonic Charge technology can charge a smartphone in around 45 minutes. At its annual event, Realme confirmed the release date of its future smartphone series, the Realme 13 series, and also unveiled a new kind of foldable battery for smartphones.

Realme SuperSonic Charging 320W

Vice President of Realme Chase Xu demonstrated the 320W SuperSonic Charge technology on stage. It is said to be able to fully charge a smartphone in four minutes and thirty seconds. According to some reports, a single minute of charging can bring the battery up to 26% of its total capacity, while two minutes is believed to bring the battery up to 50%.

Claiming that the process of charging a smartphone could take up to the same amount of time as making a cup of coffee or listening to one song, Realme dubbed it a "4-minute miracle." Several technologies that Realme has developed to create a safe and high-rated charging method were introduced at the event, which was attended by industry professionals, enthusiasts, and members of the media. It is claimed to support various mainstream charging protocols such as UFCS (up to 320W), PD, and SuperVOOC.

According to Realme, it can provide simultaneous charging via dual USB Type-C outputs, supporting up to 150W charge for Realme smartphones and 65W for compatible laptops.

A folded smartphone battery with a rated capacity of 4,420mAh is the first product. According to the manufacturer, it is a quad-cell battery that consists of four separate cells that can be charged simultaneously. According to Realme, their revolutionary battery offers a 10% extra charge over conventional battery designs, and each cell is only 3 mm thick. The battery may be used in foldable smartphones, which typically have an average battery life, because of its ability to be folded.

Compared to non-foldable smartphones, the batteries in foldable devices tend to run out faster due to their many screens.

Additionally, Realme unveiled the AirGap Voltage Transformer, which is designed to safeguard smartphone batteries against electrical malfunctions such as circuit breakers. It has contact-free electromagnetic conversion installed, which allows the transformer to limit the voltage to 20 volts. With this, Realme says that its 320W SuperSonic Charge technology has reached a 98 percent thermal efficiency.

New Smartphone Technologies

Realme unveiled six new smartphone technologies in three main categories—AI, Performance, and Imaging. The company highlighted the introduction of a solid-state button with sliding functionality, which users can use to perform quick actions like taking photos and instant zooming. Another highlight was the display, which is an anti-reflective screen that can reduce reflections by up to 80%. Finally, Realme's AI Motion Picture technology, which is fueled by NEXT AI, the company's suite of artificial intelligence (AI) features, is capable of converting an image into a dynamic 25-frame video.

It also released a number of gaming-related announcements. AI is used in the AI Gaming Super Resolution function to sustain the workload of the chipset while delivering improved images. Furthermore, by utilizing 4D Game Vibration, haptics may be improved and tailored for more than 100 in-game actions. The user can customize the placement of sounds with Realme's Holo Audio function.
