Samsung Launches 2023 Smart Monitor Lineup Globally: A Leap into the Future of Productivity and Entertainment
Samsung Electronics has globally launched its full 2023 Smart Monitor lineup, featuring the M8, M7, and M5 models (M80C, M70C, M50C). These monitors are designed to cater to individual styles and needs, providing users with an optimal experience for watching, gaming, and working.
The lineup consists of nine versatile monitors, offering various colors and sizes. The M8 and M7 models are available in 32 inches, while the M5 model is available in both 32- and 27-inch options. The M8 boasts UHD resolution and 400nit brightness, available in Warm White, Daylight Blue, Sunset Pink, and Spring Green. The M7 features UHD resolution and 300nit brightness, available in Warm White. The M5 offers Full HD resolution in sleek Black or White.
The M8 and M7 models come with the new Iconic Slim Design, measuring just 11.39mm at the thinnest point. The monitors also feature an organic herringbone pattern on the back, adding a touch of elegance. The M8 includes a height-adjustable stand with tilt support, allowing users to find the perfect viewing angle and create a clutter-free workspace. The screen can also pivot 90 degrees, reducing scrolling fatigue when working with long files.
The 2023 Smart Monitor M8 offers several upgrades and enhancements, delivering an exceptional smart entertainment experience. With 4K resolution, HDR 10+, and 400nit brightness, the M8 displays brilliant and vivid pictures. Users can enjoy easy access to Samsung Gaming Hub and Smart Hub for streaming services like Prime Video, Netflix, and YouTube. Both the M8 and M7 support up to 99% sRGB color gamut, ensuring content comes to life with vibrant colors for designers and creators.
The 2023 lineup is designed to enhance productivity, particularly for remote work. The monitors enable remote access by wirelessly connecting and mirroring PCs. The M8 features a magnetic and removable camera, supporting FHD resolution and video conferencing capabilities. Users can connect to Google Meet and other apps while taking advantage of Auto Framing for more effective meetings. The Multi View feature has also been upgraded to allow full-screen mode for Microsoft 365 and the Browser app, reducing the need to switch between apps.
Improved interface functionalities have been added to the 2023 Smart Monitors, including mouse and keyboard control for apps like SmartThings and Smart Hub. This allows users to have full control while exploring their favorite content without relying solely on a remote.
The monitors offer personalized features to enhance the user experience. They include a built-in IoT Hub, supporting Zigbee and Thread, enabling control over in-home IoT devices from a single monitor. The M8 and M7 models have built-in voice assistants such as Bixby and Amazon Alexa, allowing users to control the monitor using voice commands. Far-field voice support is also available, allowing users to speak directly to the monitor.
The new My Contents feature, available across the 2023 Smart Monitor lineup, provides quick access to helpful information. When the monitor is on standby mode and detects a registered smartphone via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), it displays the user's photos, weather updates, and more at a glance. The monitor automatically returns to standby mode when the smartphone is out of range.
