Samsung Z Fold Special Edition: Features and S Pen Compatibility Revealed

The most recent Galaxy Z Fold 6 from Samsung was unveiled during its Galaxy Unpacked event in July. As a more compact version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Samsung is rumored to be developing a new book-style foldable smartphone called the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, which could launch in certain countries soon. Two well-known tipsters have claimed that the next special edition phone will support the S Pen before an official announcement. This information disproves earlier rumors.

There have been claims on X from tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) and DSCC's Ross Young (@DSCCRoss) that the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will support the S Pen. Young claims that Samsung will find "another way" to enable the S Pen, and that the next foldable will not have a digitizer in order to save thickness and expense.

According to earlier reports, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition would not support the S Pen in order to maintain its thin design. Although it isn't included with the foldable, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is compatible with the S Pen Stylus. Prior rumors suggested that the phone might be called Galaxy Z Fold Ultra or Galaxy Z Fold Slim.
