Samyang launches its widest V-AF lens

Samyang has added a new V-AF 20mm T1.9 wide-angle lens to complement its array of cinema lenses.

The Samyang V-AF 20mm T1.9, a quick full-frame wide-angle lens and the widest in the series, has joined the Samyang V-AF cine lens portfolio, completing it.

Samyang used to be a leader in low-cost third-party manual focus lenses, but in recent years, the company has broadened its product line to provide cine lens alternatives in addition to AF options. Samyang took this a step further and merged these to create the Samyang V-AF, which is widely regarded as being on par with the greatest cine lenses available. Of the three that we have tested so far, all of them work incredibly well considering their incredibly low price. This is the first AF cine lens ever made.

As previously said, V-AF is the first range of AF cine lenses in the world, with the goal of lowering the cost of video and cine lenses for "single-person video creators to small productions as well as filmmakers."
